| Anyone going to Pecos Run amd Gun this coming weekend? I've been trying to go for years and finally got signed up. I planned on bring my Geissele URG-I/ LMT lower rifle and CZ P-10C for the event. Gear will be my ATS battle belt with extra mags, IFAK, and dump pouch. I will also have a light ruck for more mags and ammo, two MREs, water, more water, sun shade, and Gatorade. I plan to not go too crazy and will most likely only run easy flat portions. It looks like a suck fest and I can't wait. |

Ill have some energy bars and some jerky in my dump pouch on my battle belt. Its going to become my makeshift buttpack for the event. What is cool is there is a velcro flap to close it so nothing flops out while running. I have a full camel back also and nothing else in it. The course only has 27 rifle hits so I brought 3x that in rifle ammo and probably more pistol ammo than I need for the pistol targets. I havent been able to practice shooting much due to the Rona and now ammo shortage so I will just go slow and make sure I get the hits. Ive been rucking on my own and with VBB a few times so, minus pulling my calf muscle yesterday on a run, I'm ready to go. |
