Spent a little too much time looking at the picture thread here and decided to get my first CMP Garand. I sent out my check to the Garand Collectors Association this morning to use as my affiliated club. Do I get a membership card or something back from them that I send in to CMP with my order form or does the box that I checked for "release my membership info to CMP" take care of that? The CMP paperwork says to attach a copy of my membership card, but that little box leads me to believe they will send it to CMP. Anyone know? I'm assuming that I have to wait for a membership card before I send in the order. Thanks for the help. |

Thanks... Guess I have to wait a while to get that membership number before making the order. I suppose I could just call CMP and ask if they've gotten my number yet. I saw the September membership renewal. Not sure I'll stay a member after I get the CMP Garand, but we'll see. |
| When I turned my stuff in, I think I sent the check to GCA in mid-June or so, and asked them to release info to CMP. When I finally had a day off in early July, had it all notarized and mailed out. Before July was over, I had my RG Greek SA in hand. There were no hang-ups or problems at all. |
