I did… Along with an Aimpoint M5 and a Surefire Turbo with Unity switch. Also has Edgar Sherman sling, Magpul Pro backup sights and furniture. I have several Geissele rifles I train with and I carry a 14.5 at work. Decided to rattle can this 14.5 recently and it will see 7-8K rounds before Fall Attached File |

If it was black yes. Mine is DDC though and 50 shades looks better than the boring 3 color Krylon camo you see on every PSA. Check out Rapco. They use military colors instead of 1970’s refrigerator green and 1980’s cream colored couch tan like Krylon and Rustoleum use, and they’re actually lubricant resistant. Better colors and immensely more durable. Plus it’s made by dudes who actually shoot instead of a bunch of corporate DEI ladies. |

If it’s just a tool you use to improve your skills why not. I’ve got several rifles but they all get used frequently… no safe queens, no collectors items. If you think it makes it more functional than plain black (which I do) then go for it. |

If you don't like it strip the paint back off. I painted two a couple years ago and decided to strip the paint off when the Rustoleum started getting gooey from oil. I used citri strip and a power washer and they turned out pretty good, you have to look really hard to see any hint of paint residue. I have a case of RAPCO that's been sitting in the closet since last fall that's waiting to go on these rifles once the temps get high enough to do it outside. Just can't decide if I want to go with a green or brown theme. |
