I got curious about my tube so I peeked, unscrewed the ocular from my ab nvm2aa.

Inside it reads:

KM - 272069-8 S/N 775009 DC 04 12

Anybody care to translate?

The date code indicates that that one was originally supplied in an ENVIS SERE monocular. There was a large order of these back in the years.
Otherwise I can confirm Dino's claim, it's an F9800 Select Alpha, thinfilm, not gated.
