Don't sell it. That was the original scope used on the Vietnam-era M21 sniper rifle, issued to US Army snipers. Stick tight, and one of the gun-senseis will be here to assist you further. This is a calling to you from God. YOU NEED AN M-14, you know, just to add to the scope. |
When, forty years ago? It is rare and worth a hell of a lot more than that now! That is an original US made Leatherwood scope! |
I say it's worth nothing except in means of sentimental value. I haven't seen one for $289 ever in my life. The babyboomer crowd sell them to each other for about $1k in these parts. A true waste of money in the day of modern Leupold optics. A collector piece only. A cool collector piece, but just a collector piece. |
As patriot73 said, there are far better scopes available today so it is not a great scope now but forty years ago it was. It has collector value and the very few that I have seen, have gone for about $1,000. So, to answer your question, no, it is not a good trade. If you really want to sell, put it up on Gunbroker or Auction Arms with a $1,000 reserve and see what happens. It should generate some interest. |

Ok I might have been off in my first post, but I'm not on crack ART Camputer scope HERE I didn't know if it was original or one of the new chinese one's because all I've ever seen are the chinese one's. BTW the new one retails for about $369 on Bushy's website. But the 0-1200 Camputer sells for $599 These were the scopes I was thinking about when I saw it, not USGI. WIZZO |
