So I need to put a patch on my jacket and my patagucci 3L rain coat was expensive and I don't want to put holes in it and it does not have velcro. I can get my agency patches in velcro but as stated my jacket does not I found these cool magnetic 2x3 patch adapter but the are stupid expensive Attached File but WAY to expensive found the cheap version on Etsy and not sure it will work Attached File anyone just stick on that sticky velcro to a jacket? NOSO patches sells velcro but just 1x4 and 1x5 Any suggestions |

I don't know what kind of jacket you're running but something like this might be your cheapest option.

The glue might mess up the goretex or whatever on that jacket in that spot, just a heads up. And glue doesn't hold that great long term, especially on slick fabrics and when wet. You can buy bulk rare earth magnets pretty cheap online. Get some thin ones and sew them into a panel built into a piece of velcro (ie, take appropriate sized velcro, make a simple piece of rectangular fabric (500d cordura?), fold the sides in, and sew that to the back of the velcro, with the magnets glued to the inside of velcro piece to hold them exactly where you want them. do the same with 2 x pieces of cordura on the inside of the jacket with a magnet in there. IE, make your own version of the above velcro adapter. It wouldn't be hard. |
