Im 18 years old and want to buy a few class III items but according to my local class III dealer I cant buy a suppressor until im 21 but he said something about setting up a trust with my dad. If I set one up does that make it legal for me to buy a suppressor being 18 or is it my dads suppressor that im allowed to use?

Basically I want to register my lower as an sbr and build a 9mm upper with a 7" barrel and a suppressor, what is the best way to go about that?

Yes you can create a Trust and have your dad as the Grantor and make you a Trustee giving you access to the items.

Then he can make the purchase on the behalf of the Trust and you can use them as you would be listed on the Trust as well.  I don't believe you could actually do the purchase since your not of age but you can have them in your possession if your on a Trust.

Set up a trust and make yourself the Grantor.  Make your dad and yourself a trustee and have your dad go pick up the item.

Is a trust something I need to type up myself or is there a pre-made form I can fill in the blanks with my info? Also after I make the trust what do I do with it?
How long will it be from the time I make the trust to fill out the form 4? Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Call attorney Bob Howell in Florida.  He will fix you up.

At 18 you can Form 1 a SBR, just can't buy from a dealer until you are 21. At 18 you can buy a suppressor from an individual in the same state, just can't buy from a dealer until you are 21. As long as there is no conflict with state law.
