Figured it out. Disconnect has to be removed.

Yes. No disconnector & spring used. Actually on the SHTF 50, I think the front of the trigger engages the hammer notch/sear directly. Everything should drop right in with this receiver and standard AR parts. You will eliminate the hold open latch, the disconnect, magazine catch and the retaining pin for the buffer. You can access the lower mod instructions on Safety Harbors website. Go to the support page and download the users manual. Good photos of what's going on.

Dam fingers are sore from installing that heavy hammer. Waiting on fedex for my magpul. Should be together shortly.

Stock is on. If I knew it would have came in separate parts, would have bought the magpul somewhere else. Trying to figure out how to remove the rubber pad from new pad?

Good luck, save your fingers for the trigger!

Found the instructions behind my invoice on the outside of the box. You would think they would put it in the box. Should be done shortly.

Looks good! If you ever want out of it save my email. I will be ready to get back into 50 in time, but I would not pass on getting it back sooner if you wanted out. Let me know if you are interested in the scope and mount . If not I think I will list it on the EE. I will also shoot you an email on the ammo I have around. Enjoy!

Bearcat24 you sly dog. There are talkers and there are doer's. You sir are a doer. It wasn't that long ago you started this project and here it sits. You must have found a SHTF 22" upper for sale? I know it's 3-4 months to get one from Safety Harbor and you where talking about ordering one just a couple weeks ago. Nice build so far. That Mule lower and tricked out Magpul PRS from ZEL's look great. Well anyway congrats on your acquisition. Now you have to get just the right scope for that beast. Lots of choices and things to consider when picking out the scope for your 50. That was the hardest thing for me anyway and I'm still not sure I made the right choice.

Thanks. Its actually an 18 inch barrel. Saved a few bucks used. Around 75 rounds through it from previous owner. He gave me 4 rounds with it so want to go find a place and do a test fire just to test it out. Will take my time on scope as to do it right. Can't wait to shoot it.

Maybe its the way the photo makes it appear but that looks like a 22" barrel?

I have a photo of my 18" in the forum link below and it looks shorter than your upper. Measuring mine, from the end of the brake to the bolt handle is around 23" for my 18" barrel. I think you lucked out and got a 22"? People get them mixed up all the time because they are used to seeing 50s with 36" barrels. The 18" and 22" look very similar.

When I was checking it out, did seem longer. Looking at yours and I measured 27 inches to the clip and believe your right. Was to excited to care when I was checking it out but its what I originally ordered so am happy. If weather turns nice this weekend, going to shoot a couple rounds. The itch to shoot is killing me.

Ya, like one you cant reach and rubbing your back against a corner of a door way would not go well with your new in-laws. Hope you get a chance to scratch that itch soon.

I know you're excited but make a check list of everything you need to shoot it. I've seen guys show up to the range and forget their bolt, ammo, bipod... you name it. So make a list and check it off as you get ready to go to the range so nothing gets left behind.

Also, don't forget double hearing protection, mitts and plugs to protect your ears. Be safe and have fun.
