Hello All,
I am waiting for my 11 cans to get out of jail so I have been getting my hosts and accessories set up. I picked up a Beretta 21 in .22LR with a threaded barrel with faux suppressor for $160 last night. I am an admitted novice and thought I would be good to go to mount one of my .22 suppressors when the stamps came back. I showed the gun to my friend and he told me the threads were too coarse and would not accept a standard 1/2x28 threaded suppressor. I looked at my other .22LR hosts and he is correct. I did some searching and found that is is possibly threaded in 7/16-14. My question is can an adapter be made so I can use this as a host? I cannot find one online and figure I may need a machinist to fabricate one.

Should I even waste my time? Could it be re-threaded to the correct pitch? Would this even be a good host?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Rethreading isn't an option if the threads are indeed as you suspect since the barrel thread diameter is already turned down too far for the threads on the suppressor and likewise, the suppressor threads are already opened up too far for the barrel. You could get an adapter though

Thanks for the response! Ok I suppose I will start looking for a machinist who can make me an adapter for it. Any ballpark on what one would cost? $100? $400? I know it would be a shot in the dark, just seeing if it is going to be cost prohibitive and If I should scrap the idea.

A competent machinist should be able to make one quick for well under $50
