I have a Taurus 85 that keeps slipping, the cylinder wont always turn. I have cleaned it out thoroughly and deburred the slot the hand rides in. If I lightly hold pressure on the area where the hand pin goes in to the trigger it performs flawlessly. As soon as I put the plate back on, it slips again. Sometimes when I take the plate off I've noticed the the trigger assembly slipping up (and once all the way off) the pin on the transfer bar which of course tilts the hand out of the channel. I cant see any problems at all in the channel on the plate. The hand seems to wobble in the pin hole so I'm thinking maybe its just not fitting tight enough. So before I order a new hand to try, anyone have any suggestions?
BTW, when the cylinder is slipping the trigger and hammer both move freely-they arent jammed up and you can hear the hand rattling loose. Thanks, Shane |
