Took my M96 Swede out to shoot today for the first time.  I aquired it in a trade a few months ago.  Click and no mark on the primer.  Took the bolt apart and firing pin seems OK.  Are other Mauser pins compatible with the Swede?  I don't know anyone with another Swede, but I have friends with other mfg Mausers.  Any suggestions?
Here is a pic of the firing pin.

Dollars to donuts you didn't have the bolt sleeve screwed in far enough. It happens.

Your firing pin tip looks fine.

I took the bolt apart and put it back together.  Ran it through the firing sequence with the bolt out of the gun.  Firing pin protruded from the bolt face in the fired position after reassembly.  Took it to the range and fired two rounds of the Hansen Cartridge Company Ammo that I received with the rifle.  Price on the box was $8.99 from Woolworth's.  First round was fine.  Second round didn't seem any hotter, but the primer punctured and felt some got gas on my thumb.  Primer was flattened.  I think I'm done shooting those.  I'll pick up some Privi from Grafs and pull the bullets on the 2 boxes of Hansen and reload them.
