This might be a stupid question and if it is, I apologize.

Could a muzzle break be attached to a barrell that already has a suppressor thread - for shooting without the suppressor?  or would this lead to potential damage of any of the devices?

As long as you don't somehow wear or alter the threads off their purposed dimensions or damage the crown I would think it'd be fine.  Problem I see there is you are replacing the best kind of muzzle brake with something lesser...  


Also, unless you need a brake on there, just put a thread protector on it.  But then we're back to the same problem, a can is the best kind of thread protector and brake...
