| Well theres a store here locally that has a few of the carbines. Now i want to know how to tell if they are legitimate carbines and not just cut down. I have heard alot of em are cut down full legth guys. Anyway, just want to know what to look for besideds the matching numbers and such on these guys. Thanks. |
| I'm pretty certain on this (and someone correct me if I'm off-base), but if you have a rifle cut down to carbine specs you should see a wood patch on the underside of the buttstock. Might be a fairly close match, might look totally different. This is to patch the hole(s) where the original rifle sling swivel was mounted. Carbine swivels are up on the wrist of the stock. That is one indicator of a factory cut-down. I'm sure there are others, they just aren't jumping out at me right now. |
I just had an email flyer from Centerfire Systems, and I noticed they have 8x56R in stock. 8x56R That's cheap enough it makes me wish I had a rifle for it. I'd buy all you can afford while they have some in stock. Jim |

OMFG!!!! I have now figured out why they lost two wars. Their soldiers could not fire more than 20 rounds and still move their arms.... This lil fugger KICKS! I like the action, and the stripper clips, but DAMN>>>>>>> I am so puttin a slip over recoil pad on this lil beast. |
What did you expect? Take one of the lightest surplusrifle's ever made and feed it with one of the most powerful wartime rifle calibers and TADAH! you have the crazy ass kick which is the M95. BTW www.southernohiogun.com has 8X56 ammo $2.49/10rd box. I believe it's Hungarian, good and hot.

Yeah, but he won't sell it. I saw it one day and grabbed about 10 boxes, came up to pay for it, and Terry says that it isn't for sale. He wouldn't even let me buy one box! I don't understand why he has it sitting out in his shop if it not for sale

Man you got my hopes all up becouse i am in Spokane this week. Oh well, maybe ill go talk to him and see if i cant weasel him out of some... |
Let me know if he lets you buy any. If he does, I'll have to go back and say, "Hey, you let dillonivik buy some!" |
|
Terry can be strange for sure. If he won't sell it just order some from SOG, they have it for $ 47 per 250rd tin but you will have to buy a box or two of the Nazi stuff just for the clips... The Army Surplus store on Division may have a box or two of the Nazi but they are $$$$$$. |

Just remembered the Gunatorium " Ed Kerr's "has some 8x56R. He has some OLD Interarms packaged surplus, two boxes on the shelf behind the register and a box on the junk table in the back area. It's packaged in large blue and white " Interarms" boxes. Offer 10-15 cents per round don't pay more than .20. They are going out of business so you may be able to get it cheap.... |
Just whent over there, no go. Hes out... |
