What a bizarre product. This is an answer to a nonexistent problem. It will be available just a short while after the modular mp5 they showed a few years ago at SHOT.

Kinda cool in a futuristic sci-fi action video game way.

I’d try one out if it wasn’t crazy expensive; the P(S)90 is pretty easy to play with.

Internal cable management through the chassis is nice along with MLOK because P90s don't really have modern flashlight/laser mounting solutions. I guess a grenade launcher is a choice too.

Even the manufacturer says it is a "tricky" install, whatever that means. I like the looks of it but I am sure it is going to be pricey.

Strike is saying their stock is “tricky” to install?

I didnt watch the video (not a fan of Reeves interview style) but Unless they did something really strange, it looks like the  oem  receiver should just slide into it like a standard stock?

If they made it way more complex to install the receiver that was a mistake, as the p90 stock to receiver install amd removable is just sublimly simple and efficient.

JR: Barely. (presumably joking)
Rep: You're good to go.

Rep: Some gunsmithing may be required. (laughing)

Didn't sound tricky to me.

Wonder if this would work with aftermarket Ps90 upper receivers?

I have a few, and it would be cool to try a different stock

Looking from the pics, I can’t imagine that it wouldn’t as long as the aftermarket one doesn’t have some weird geometry to it.  If it fits the standard PS90 stock without mods, I think it would just drop in?

Make the PS90 a lego-gun like glocks and ARs, please. I love the platform.
FN barely releases spare ps90 parts to begin with, to the point that I've sworn off all other FN products.

Its definitely a vibe, but I'm undecided if its a good one. To be fair, Ive never shot a ps90, but this thing was very awkward to shoulder. Also to be fair, the launcher probably didnt help the situation.

The SBR wouldn't have the rail or a way to mount that launcher either, but a new stock would be cool, grip angle looks interesting.

The grip angle is a big improvement, but the slim profile of the original is one of my favorite things about it. It just slides into a bag so easily with the factory grip.

Kind of this.  The design concept is to basically be the size of a keyboard.  Maybe that grip-angle is better, but I kind of personally prefer the original factory form factor, and find it quite comfortable and usable as-is.   But I get not everybody else does.  I had a 6'2" football friend run it one day, and he hated it - as the overall gun was just too tiny for him to run, shoulder, and control.  I bet for him, that new stock would be better.  For me, it kind of undermines the optimization of design.  If willing to run bigger and bulkier with things sticking down farther, well it's tough to beat a 5.56 gun with a pistol grip and a mag sticking down; which that new form factor more closely approaches, yet while still shooting the half-power .223 round called 5.7.

Given $0 SBRs are coming in January, this looks like an application for a different timeline.  Particularly w/ the grenade launcher.

The stock itself will work on an SBR, the M-LOK portion over the 16" barrel  is just an add-on.

They're actually moving forward on those. I heard they've been dialing in the fitment for the triggers to work well as well as finalizing the texturing. Prob late this year, early next. (I'm just some guy, so take that gossip for what it's worth.)

I’m glad they’re still moving forward, it has to be a small market.  Sometimes weird and fun is a good enough reason to try something.

I could see that being the Ultimate Zombie Gun in the Resident Evil universe.

5.7x28 (1/2 the weight of 9mm/5.56) ideal for headshot only zombies.

40mm for the various Umbrella Corp mutants.

Hey USPS didn't sent it off to Maine or some other far away state like they are so fond of doing.
Assembly wasn't bad. A little more involved than the factory stock as Strike made a few cost cutting measures.

One problem I had was the magazine catch was binding. Push it back and it would stick. Saw a few rub marks and went from there removing tiny amounts of material.  Got it working.

It is not as compact as the factory stock. Length of pull is longer as is the fore end.  The fore end is going to require a vertical or angled grip as it is quite thin.  I know Strike is planning a couple of different length add on covers but those aren't for me.  I have a buddy thats into 3d printing. I'm sure he can make a cover that is wider and taller to slide over the picatinny section.

The trigger pack is a tight fit and harder to get in and out.  Since the length of pull is longer they have a spacer that goes between the trigger pack and buttpad.  It's loose so it will fall out on disassembly.

Another drawback is if you are running a large diameter suppressor it might hit the lower rail.  The turbo 3 I have on it is 1.562 diameter. They did include a small heat shield in the rail to slow down heat transfer.

Hopefully get to try it out along with the frt this weekend.

A couple more thoughts on it.
The non rotational sling mounts are a nice touch except the rear mounts are held in by the buttpad. I superglued them in place. The placement of the front qd mounts are almost in line with the charging handles. Potential issue?  I guess that could be a personal thing.

I also glued in several other parts that get sandwiched between the halves as they tend to fall out during assembly.

The ergos are better. I think Strike intends the chassis to be used with either the long or short handguards they intend to sell.
The handguards appear to add height and width to the rail on the stock. For now I tossed a kac vertical foregrip on.

Another observation. If you are installing a FN Specialties frt the selector will rub on the left side of the stock making it difficult to operate. There is a little tab intended to retain the selector so it needs a some material removed.

Damn, that sucks about that LOP. I can definitely appreciate the improved economics with that, but I think my only reason for a P90 would be to keep it as small as possible.

I agree. They dropped the ball on that.  No real reason to add the length. Since it has a screw on butt pad they could have made it the same length as the FN stock and then offered bolt on spacers if someone wanted a longer LOP.

[Last Edit: Manticore_Arms][Edited] [#46]
Just so I am understanding, they lengthened the overall length, and then to make up for that, had to put a spacer in to take up that extra space behind the trigger pack?

I feel like there was some design decision or purpose that we are not aware of.

That or honestly maybe it was literally as random/absurd of a decision of the owner of Strike said “I dont like the LOP on the OEM P90, make it an inch longer so it is comfortable for me”

Having that Picatinny extension on the front so tight against the barrel also is an interesting decision- certainly limits some suppressor options on the sbr version

Man, so close to perfect.

Makes me want to go make a stock for the P90/PS90.  I think the Strike stock is so close to greatness, but missed on a few (ciritcal) points.
