| I have an 870 remingotn express magnum with 18.5 " barrel, wilson forend/ 2 shot mag extension/ wilson sights, mesa tactical shell holder, and a knoxx spec ops stock. I wanted to get a traditional solid stock as well. I had three stocks in mind. I was looking into the Hogue short stock, Knoxx compstock, and the Speedfeed short stock with the 13" lenght of pull. The knoxx compstock stock sounds great with the recoil reduction but, I'm a bit uncertain with having a lop around 14". I a pretty short guy at 5' 8". The Speedfeed short stock at 13" sounds good. But, I was wondering if the Hogue was too short. I just wanted to hear everyone's input on these stocks to help me better to come to a decision. I'm looking for something comfortable, durable, and to suit the needs for a tactical shotgun. Thanks. |

Two of the 13" LOP stocks are featured on my custom weapons and that is because they are the best out there. One is the Remington LE 13" LOP with R3 pad and the Other is the SF IV-S and yes, the R3 fits that stock also. Can't beat them.
I also feature the SpecOps but hate the Compstock. It snacthed some face hair off me and I like to passed out the first time I fired it. Hated It. It works and I did learn to shoot it correctly but I don't see the point when the SpecOps reduces more felf recoil and is like state in another post, adjustable. That Compstock is in a box as I will not even put them on my custom builds. |
