Been a little while since I did a Form 1 and haven’t totally kept up with the changes that were made.

Do I still have to mail CLEO their copy of the form?

Yes, but as far as I can tell, its now CLEO Notify, Not CLEO Signoff.

That’s what I thought, guy I know said he thought they ended the CLEO notification but I was in high doubt.

Not a bad idea, but I think the tendency is to throw out the letters, but they might keep the email. If that is of any concern.

One of the many Proposed Rule Changes from the ATF is to do away with the CLEO notification, but it's not been implemented yet.

This is a great example of why you need to be selective in choosing the CLEO you elect to send it to. Usually, the farther from the locality the less they care/understand. That's why a lot of people use the State AG or Head of the State Police.
