[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Stevens 520 Project Help

I believe I have a pretty Early Stevens 520 as all the diagrams I can find do not match it very well. It has the safety in the trigger guard, Slide release on the side of the receiver, and is a double hump.

My main issue is the lifter just flops around when the bolt is closed. The cam on the side of the lifter is in excellent condition. I cannot figure out what is supposed to hold the lifter down when the bolt is closed. Am I missing a spring?

Lifter spring should look like the top one.

It fits in the back right side of the receiver. Should be a hole thru the receiver for it.
