I would like hear some thoughts on the sar8 please. Any issues with them and or bragging stories? How much would a nice condition one with 200 rnds thru and an arms mount with a couple of mags go for? Thanks for all the help.

Depends on which one. The later ones had aluminum receivers with a scope rail on top. I owned one of those and loved it. I should not have sold it.

From what I hear, the older style greek Sar-3 and SAR-8s were VERY nice...

Mine wasn't put together right, canted barrel. So SA replaced it with a M1A.

I've got a Greek-made SAR-8.  It's as nice or nicer than the real thing (HK91).  You should expect to pay $1000-1400.

Since you didn't specify what you want to know, I'll innundate you with more info.

I have handled a later-model build of the PTR-91. It is amazingly well put together. The only gripe I have is it has crappy furniture. (But that can be ammended.)

I just listed one on gunsamerica for my ffl. (It is the cheapest one on there...)

It has the alum. reciever and green furniture. Would you jump on it for $750?

I have a three Greek steel imported SAR8's; I think two are SAR3 overstamp's.  They are very nice guns for the money.  They are almost indistinguishable in quality from my German HK. Darealict is right on about the money $1000-1400.
