Anyone ever seen a thread protector offered to go on the silencerco specwar muzzle devices?

I've experienced the exposed threads getting dinged up.  I'd rather throw a thread protector on them so I don't have to worry about screwing up the threads on the device or worse yet, screwing up the threads on my suppressor when trying to crank it onto a set of damaged threads.

This is what I'm envisioning:

Never seen one. Not nearly as simple as the YHM because the ASR would need the locking ring that moves to engage the mount instead of just twisting the TP onto the threads.

I think he's just referring to a thread protector that goes on over the acme threads in front of the ring that's held on by friction.

Probably so. After looking at the mount again, it looks like something could be made that works.

I bet one of the machinist making F1 can parts could knock some out.
