| For many reasons, I am not sure that replicating AR light solutions in a shotgun is necessarily the best idea. I would appreciate hearing where you, fine gentlemen, have settled with regard to lights, mounts, locations, etc. This would be for either semi-auto or pump. |

I am right handed, and prefer to keep accessories on the other side of the barrel when the gun is mounted. It helps with unoccluded vision. I am a "both eyes open" shooter. |

I strive to avoid barrel shadow and remote switches, but sometimes it's not practical to achieve both. In that case, I go for remote switch, no barrel shadow & a manual backup switch (ymmv). Attached File Attached File |

Surefire replaced it and after some research from shotgun trainers I put a x300 on mine. The sxs batteries seem to hold up better than ones inline plus it can come right off if im going to go shoot 100 rounds of slugs or a few hundred full power buck. For pumps I prefer Surefire forends. Remote switches are an absolute no go for me. |

I do not care for them on an AR, but I like the idea of having the light far forward on the strong (right hand) side and a remote switch seems to be the best way to achieve that. Also, which X300, U or T? |

I'm using a tlr1 on a polymer stream light mag tube mount. I'll post pics later. It's literally 10 years old now I think. I change batteries every winter and it gets taken off when im doing lots of shooting. I'd like to get an integrated forend light. Are the older laser products forends a good choice nowadays? Those seem to go for half of what a newer model goes for. Advertised 65 lumens without a bulb upgrade. My tlr is 150 I think and it's not overly bright by any means. An older light with a led upgrade is 2/3 the price of a newer one so what's the point really. I do love the looks of an old police with older laser products forends. |
