I need suggestion's on which scope mount or ring's to try.
I have Millett angle lock's on my AR now and am not terribly impressed. I want the setup to be as repeatable to zero as possible if I remove the scope.
Have looked at Rock River, ASA, Leupold and Armalite mount's.
What say ye all?

I use...
2ed Gen Armalite mt
Leupold QRW rings
Arms #5 MultiBase
Leupold MK4 AR rings
...all work well. Get the Armalite mount.

(DOH! Make that a #5 Multibase.)

I have thought about using a riser mount also
with weaver style ring's so I can tailor the scope height more closely but does this get to be a lot of stuff on the rifle?
Will the ARMS #6 fit on a fllattop?

The Leatherwood mount I had on mine mated up so well I could shake the rifle upside-down without the screw installed, and it still wouldn't move. ***didn't notice you were asking for a flattop, sorry***

The ARMS #5 MultiBase fits MilSpec and Weaver style. I got it for a FAL, it's also been on a few AR's and a Australian Arms rifle. Right now it's on a AR10-T. It's always had Burris Z Rings on it. It does look cluttered but has worked well when jumping from different types of rifle designs and 40mm to 56mm scopes. If I was setting up an A3 I would use the Armalite mt.

If you have a flat top, go with Armalite, or model one sales (M&A). I have not had to touch the turrets on my varmit AR in over 2 years, and have had the scope off and on every time I pack the rifle in its case (over 20 or more times). Armalite is pricey at $89.00, model one sales is $55 and does just as good. I can send a pic if you are curious.

Nice pics Pimative, look's like the Armalite is the way to go.
By the way are the handgaurd's free floated on your rifle and if so can you tell me what is involved in switching over to that from standard non free floating handgaurd's?
