Anybody have any information on this/these Pre-86 production/conversion numbers? Function? Current market value? TR |
The 5906 was introduced in 1989, I doubt they have a time machine so your chances of finding a pre-86 example are between slim and none.  Are you sure anyone has converted one to be an MG? I cant find any references to the work being succesful, if they have.Kharn |

Yeah those were for the 5906. The "sear" functioned like an Auto Disconnect and were Full auto only. Dangerous Bob over on Subguns has/had one a while back. There's also a few FA S&W 659 sears out there too as Capt Monty Mendenhall did an article on one in SAR several years ago. I'll see if I have that issue, if so, I'll scan and post it. | hello. back about 10yrs when i first started buying machineguns, i went to RECON ORDNANCE ( jerry prasser ). it was the most machineguns i have ever seen in one place! you name it, it was there. on one part of the wall, there were 4 or 5 full auto smith 9mm handguns. i think at that time they were around 4500.00. i thought who the hell would buy them, when he had m-16s for sale at 2500 to 3000. they were cool looking though. enough talking, i have to get back to building my time machine! kirk |
