If you have access to the Archived Threads, you can see the one SS has abused here.

Thanks!  I wish there was more detail to that.  I know a certain trainer that would like to get some Sakers in hand for high volume classes.....

What kind of detail are you looking for?  I have a demo 762 model that mainly resides on a 13" SCAR17 MG, a 249, and a 300BLK M16.  It has probably 10K through it and the blast baffle looks dirty, but not eroded.  Always run with a FH too, no brakes.  The mounting system is as good as new.  Only time it ever locks up is when I get it super hot and let it cool all the way down while still ratcheted down on a mount.  Aside from a user caused endcap strike, its had no issues. Like SS's can, mine has tons of foreign material melted to it from sitting it down on stuff while hot.  It also has a bit of a rainbow tint to it from getting it hot.  The finish is all still there though.

The saker and the specwar series will both outlast most guns on the market, I would wager a guess.

It is.  I was using that to show that even with the flash hider, it had no wear.

I'll try to remember to pull it out and take a pic later.

Sorry I should have put down the lunch and paid attention.  I've had the 762 model for a month and had the finish burning a few times already. The blast baffle is a tough sob to take that and stay looking good.

i have my saker 556, and have been having some issues with the mounting system.

originally when i got it, as soon as i twisted the mount a couple snaps, it would not allow me to pull off the suppressor, here recently before i finished UN-tightening the suppressor, it slipped right off of the mount.
when its tightened all the way on it still rock solid, so it doesn't really bother me. Its still a great Can.

If your friend is running classes, why would he need all the bells and whistles of the Saker? Does he really need interchangeable mounts or endcaps and the additional associated costs for those features? A Specwar 5.56 with stamp will cost less than a Saker 5.56 and both have Stellite stacks.

Maybe they want the hoplon blast baffle for the theoretical increased durability.   In addition to this, with the more modular design I could see how some would gladly pay the extra for the saker.

I'm going to hazard a guess that nobody will be running 7.5" ARs in any kind of legitimate class. Also, why would modularity matter in a class using house supplied rifles and suppressors?

I doubt they are using 7.5" barrels as well.  Seems like the saker blast baffle would increase longevity regardless of barrel length.

My Specwar 556 is still in process so I don't have it in front of me, but if the 556 versions of the Saker and Specwar are similar in scale to their 762 brothers then the blast chamber of the Specwar is much bigger than the Saker and the Specwar blast baffle is much further away from the muzzle device than the Saker.

I was having some weird problems on my Saler556 mount as well and last night about 11:00 I launched it off my rifle out in the middle of a grass field. Called SiCo today and they're sending me a new rear section maad mount and flash hider.

Is the instructor providing rifles with the suppressors or just suppressor with mount?

Hope you found your can. How did that happen? Do you think the locking tabs weren't engaged behind the mount? I haven't shot my saker much but kinda makes me nervous using trifecta mount but I cant see how it would come off it is locked in with the tabs engaged.
