Does anyone know roughly how many ECCs were released through the commercial market? I know there were around 485 EMCs per an earlier portion of this thread but I haven’t seen anything on the ECC number. Looking forward to making my contribution to this thread shortly! |
| I picked up a new SR-25 K3 yesterday! This 16" dimpled barrel is not chrome lined, and there is no manual for cleaning, maintenance, etc. I know the chrome lined barrels will have extended life and easier cleaning? I can't imagine I'll shoot out a non chrome lined barrel but do want to make sure I'm doing everything right for this gun in terms of maximizing barrel life, cleaning, accuracy etc. How much more cleaning of the barrel and what is the process for cleaning a non chrome lined barrel? Any special considrations? Is there significantly more barrel life on a chrome lined barrel? |

KAC kindly sent me a digital manual for the SR-25. I found this interesting: In order to maintain maximum precision potential, in training the rate of fire should not exceed 5 rounds per minute, or 100 rounds in 28 minutes, with a 2 minute cooling after every 20 rounds. If 100 rounds are fired in 28 minutes the barrel and chamber should be cleaned after cooling. |
