I am new to reloading and I have a quick question. My wife purchased the Lee Classic Progressive Reloading press and the lee ultimate rifle reloading die set. My question is how do i set up my turrent press with these dies since their are four? Or what should be my order of operations using the dies appropriately? I have purchased several manuals and i have all the info from SAAMI as well. Just concerned with how to proceed with the setup.

A 4 die set is optimal with straight cases pistol rounds.

Not very familiar with Lee presses, so I'm guessing your press has 3 holes.

If possible return it for the 4 hole version.

Or remove the third die (seater die) and replace with fourth die to crimp.

It has four holes. I was thinking that I could install the four dies and do the powder measures manually without the auto system. Does that sound right?

Collet neck sizer you can do away with unless your going to neck size only for a bolt action.

Autoloader should use the full length sizer/decapper, powder, seater die then factory crimp die if desired.

I am new to reloading. I have a Hornady single stage press.

After tons of research I do the powder measure manually to learn the basics.

I have seen often enough what double powder or no powder can do.
