I have a BW5 SBR and it isn't firing. The sear is not letting go. Through further examination of the trigger pack I found that the little nub that trips the sear has stretched OUT of the pack, as the pack itself is made of plastic! Where can I get just the metal pack to replace this crap plastic one? All the parts are identical to a MP5 as most have been swapped out by me with original MP5 parts. I just need that metal box to house all the parts. Can anyone help? Bobcat(or whatever they are called now) said they would replace it with another plastic box and it will only delay the inevitable replacement of that box down the road. Help? -TS |

Get ahold of Todd Bailey, which was the source of the plastic trigger box. At one time, he'd upgrade your box for little or no money. Can't promise you that he still will, a lot has changed since then. Here's contact info: www.shop.black-market-parts.com/main.sc. Here's another contact point: www.hk-54.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1189. Good luck, hope you can get a replacement. ARKAR |

Before you upgrade to TB's metal pack, check out the thread on HKPro and see what you are getting. It's a pathetic brazeon job. TriggerWorks is your best bet. TB will replace the plastic for free but the metal upgrade will cost a little extra. There was a post on his website (forum) about it. |
I have one of Todd's newer CA94's with a metal trigger box. It looks just like the one in my G3 - I would take those pictures on HKPro with a grain of salt! Everyone knows they hate him there. Todd said it was $25 to upgrade to a metal pack under warranty. www.hk-54.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1108 |

I got a high-quality new part in my NEW gun I got in July 2008. I don't believe the photos. |
Wow none of mine ever looked like that. |
I saw that thread and wasn't suprised. I have two of the same packs and mine look quite good. But that's the problem with that manufacturer, you always run the risk of getting something that isn't up to par. You take a gamble somewhat, but I think Todd makes mostly decent stuff as well. It's just that if he makes 100 good ones and 1 bad one, well the 1 bad one gets 100 times more "press" than the 100 good ones do. I'm NOT making excuses for Todd, just calling it the way I see it. I'd go for the replacement box, it shouldn't cost much and not near as much as having to buy an original HK box that's been converted! |
