Ok NOWWW I think I'm done with this thing, less a forward sling mount. Just trying to figure out which VFG I want to go with, really leaning towards the BCM though since it bolts directly to the rail, whereas the others require a section of pic rail to attach. Like most other 15-22's, I am sure, runs like a scalded dog, suppressed or unsuppressed. -NCStar VISM 13" keymod handguard -Midwest Industries hand stop -BCM Mod 3 keymod VFG -or TangoDown stubby -or KAC VFG -BCM Mod 0 grip -Magpul MBUS Pro flip up sights -Volquartsen Exact Edge extractor -Radian Raptor charging handle -Radian Talon ambi safety -Larue MBT-2S trigger -CMC anti walk FCG pins -J&E SOPMOD copycat stock -Aimpoint CompM3 (2 moa) in QPR2 mount -Aimpoint 3xMag in GG&G flip to side mount

Just bought my 15-22 sport with the M4 stock and magpul mbus. Was stovepiping out of the box every 3-4 rounds until I adjusted the ejector. Gtg now. Does anyone know why the handguard has a cap on the end instead of being free floated? I want to take it off, but I assume S&W wouldn't spend money to put it on there for no reason. |

I owned one of these in about 2012 time frame and sold it a couple years later. I have always regretted it and now that my daughter is getting older and showing interest in shooting I realized I don’t have anything that will fit her. Placed an order tonight for the moe verison from buds. Unfortunately for me the 25 round mags are unobtainable at the moment. I plan on a hand guard swap to a 15” bcm mlok rail and I will be setting this up like my go to BCM for training |

Isn't it free float even with the end cap ring? The upper is plastic too. I think the function of the ring is to limit how much flex you can induce into the system before the ring acts as a stop by contacting the barrel. |

Concur I'll be posting mine when my FDE mags get here. I added a 1-4x Vortex optic, Magpul FDE grip, BUIS, CTR stock. 50 rounds through it, no issues, really like it, but the trigger is a little hard. Looking for a pistol, but those seem to be few and far between. |

It is a Salem 6 magazine that unfortunately they don't make any more. It is a double stack 20 round magazine that is the size of the factory 10 rounder. I always meant to pick up at least one or two but kept forgetting and now they are gone. |

Rummaged through my junk drawer and added a few cheap upgrades to my sons M&P 15-22. Magpul BUIS and extended bolt catch/release Firefield 1-4 LPVO Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip Now just need to get him a sling. Attached File |
