How can one remove and keep rust away from a valuable range toy?

Remove: Fine steel wool and CLP.

Keep away: Sentry Solution Tuf-Cloth. Wipe down the entire gun anytime you've been handling it a lot (major range session or training day). The stuff bonds with the metal and defeats humidity.

Been using the stuff since 2001, has worked on humid Texas days, hot and humid Middle Eastern days, and hot and humid European days too.

Results from a rust test I did last year. Parkerized steel clips were stored outside for 21 days and sprayed with salt water to make them rust faster.

Left to right:

CLP, LSA, Swiss rifle grease, Mobil 1 (20-50wt), ATF (Dextron), Machine Gunner's Lube, Control
