Hi All,
I just picked up some Nosler 69gr BTHP custom competition bullets (17101), and the only load info I can find is on 4 powders (on Nosler's site) which I don't use. I figured I could find data using Varget and H335 (what I use) but I can not. Anyone have any input? Nosler shows TAC data, and from what I've read, TAC and H335 are similar....but I don't like assuming load data....anyone have any #'s anywhere on these bullets? (using in AR15) Thanks!!

Here's what I do and suggest everyone do... Never assume load data. Let me define; if buying a box of xyz bullets I also buy xyz's manual. Nosler bullets are'nt cheap and to get maximum performance I want maximum information. MidwayBackOrderUSA has Nosler's book in stock. |
I just did the same thing you did, but i didn't see a copy of their book at mine.
| Most load manuals lump all bullets of the same weight together for a cartridge unless there is something odd about a particular bullet's design or construction that forces different data. I've got the Sierra manual and use their data for most of my Nosler CC bullets. Looking at engineering drawings of the various similar bullets between Sierra and Nosler, the differences in length, ogive and bearing surface are in the thousandths of an inch range. The differences within a single manufacturer's bullets that they lump together is greater than that. |
