Ok - these have probably been posted before so forgive for repeating but here it goes. I just got a new PTR-91C and I have a few questions. 1. Aluminum or Steel mags? It came with an aluminum mag but the steel ones I've seen seem much sturdier and durable. Most surplus mags I've seen are a little rough but are they reliable? 2. What is the proper sight picture for the diopter sight on the number one "notch" setting? For other "V" style sights I would center the tip of the the front sight in the bottom of the notch, but it seems more natural for the post to be even with the shoulders of the notch. This where my eye naturally goes but it seems that then the post is quite high in the notch. A few trips to the range will help but any advice would be appreciated. 3. I have a fixed stock currently. Can I use a surplus imported stock with out violating the required US parts count? I would like to get a collapsable stock and a wider forearm. Do I need to look for US made versions. Thanks. |
