Hi I'm completely new to NV.
If my rifle has a 10 moa base for it, should I be concerned about using NV with it? Does the scope lens need to be parallel to the lens of the NV? I'm trying to understand if the NV system and scope need to be perfectly concentric and such. Thanks! |

No they don't need to be aligned perfectly. Obviously every optical device has some distortions so the better the alignment the better it is, but it's not really a concern especially if both your scope and the NV you would be using are high quality.
A NV device is pretty much see through, it has the image projected at far away so it does not matter if you move or rotate it a little, you will see the exact same point regardless. NV clip ons that mount in front of the day scope are collimated and don't introduce a POI shift when mounted. |
