Mine is very similar, still a pistol because Paperwork is in at ATF. I have the surefire forearm; but I am going folding stock. ACE at first then eventually switch to B&T. |

Very Nice Weapon.Do you have any issues with the light being directly under the flash hider?I've got a Vector V53 with the Surefire forend and I was worried about muzzle blast on the light so I had an extended flash hider made. What sling is that? Thanks If you look closely, you can see the heat shrink I used on the lamp assembly. It is about 2mm thick. The stuff is spendy, but it will protect the light from the muzzle blast. |

I assume you need a heat gun, but would a blowdrier and patience work? |

I used a small butane torch and a bowl of cold water to help control any heat issues in repect to the flashlight bezel assy. |

9mm out of a 9" barrel isn't going to have much if any in the way of blast. You ever see those SF lights on 5.56mm SBR's with comps? Covered in soot and still working just fine Actually, it will take the finish off the bezel and cause carbon build-up. Look around at some of the used Surefire 628's; you'll see what I mean. Anyways, for as much as shit costs, I might as well try to keep it squared away. Also; we all know 9mm is the .338 of the handgun world |
