So I'm wondering if anyone makes a suppressor like this:

I've got 2 9mm MP-5ish guns with the 3lug mounts so those would be the primary use.
But, is there an adapter of some sort that would let me use the same can on threaded barrel of a semi-pistol like G17, CZ75, Hi-power etc or is this getting into the whole boosted vs unboosted suppressor thing?

The Gemtech Multimount allows you to switch adapters for a variety of hosts including Glocks (LID adapter) and 3-Lug barrels.

I have an SWR Trident . It is full-auto rated ,and can be fired wet . I use it on a SIG 226 , H&K Tactical SD, Browning Hi-Power , Makarov , and PPK - just by changing the piston . I have pistons in 1/2 x28 , 32 , and the metric size that H&K uses ( duh - its late ) . They also make a 3-lug and 1/2 x 28 without pistons for carbine , or fixed barrel applications . I am very satisfied with SWR's products and service ...

Can you run that wet?

From GEMTECH's site
The MULTIMOUNT is a dry suppressor, but can also be used with a small amount of coolant for maximum flash and sound reduction.

The GEMTECH MM9 does what you want and more. There's a LOT of different mounting options for the MULTIMOUNT... hence the name and all.  :)

What barrels do you use for the 226 & BHP?  I tried to have my BHP barrel threaded but the adapter kept breaking so it looks like I need to go with aftermarket.

So when considering pistols, how big is the can, would i have to get "Tall" sights if using a glock, hi-power (argie) or CZ-75 or would the stock sights work?

Unless you get one of the newer offset cans, you will not be able to see over the top.  Some folks prefer tall sights while others adjust accordingly.  Ultimately, it is a cost/preference issue that you will need to decide.

The GEMTECH MM9 is 1.375" in diameter - to get a feel of how that sits on your host firearm, take a ruler, center 1.375" on the middle of the boreline of your barrel, and you can see approximately where the top of the can would sit in relation to your current sights.

If you can shoot through it, or it's parallel, then drive on and go shooting.  If you feel it's too tall, or If it bothers you, get some Ameriglo suppressor-ready sights. Great deal, tritium, tall enough to see over most suppressors.
