| So, I'm looking to lighten up the trigger on my Msar and there seem to be two kits that I've found. Trigger tamer and Trigger Lite. Any thoughts on which I should get? |

MSARDave has specifically stated that installing a Trigger tamer will void the warranty (if they find one they pull it out of the gun) as they have been known to cause reset problems and doubling. MSAR has never commented on the Trigger Lite, and due to its multiple settings it *appears* that you can tune it to lighten but not have some of the issues above. There was kind of a big contreversy between Trigger Tamer saying the Trigger Lite here on the forum, but I don't think from a purely technical standpoint it is pertinent to your question. First thing to do is look for a thread on lightening the pull, it discussed what parts to polish and use Armor All on and it will reduce friction and thus the perceived trigger pull. I would start there and work your way to a Trigger Whatever if you feel the need. |
| IM Dr.Coffee he is working a new option that looks to be very promising. Can't say too much but one of his first help aides (that TT showed their ass over) was a very good option, but is no longer available. However, his newest part looks to improve and on his first attempt. |

I actually tried doing the trigger job you mentioned on one of the trigger packs I have and didn't really have any success. I did not know about the warranty issue and the malfunctions caused by the Trigger Tamer system. I'll have to do a search and see if I can dig up anything else but it sounds a little disappointing. |

Says right in the manual that a trigger tamer will void your warranty. Check out page 11. |

Trigger Lite on level 3 + drcoffee mod works fine for me. I am shooting my own reloads. About 300 rounds, no doubling. asu174, either mine or his but not both together. The Neu-Trigger should not be used in conjuction with anything that softens the trigger spring. If the timing is affected, you could end up doubling and safety has to be a priority. My objective was to create a product that was safer, and more effective. |

The probem with lubricants is they attract dirt, grit and abrasives which work their way into the moving parts. Plastic unlike metal will let the dirt imbed into the surface increasing wear and tear. I believe these are meant to run dry. Powdered graphite works wonders in high security locks without gumming them up. Should do fine in the hammer pack as well. |
