They dont flop around using the proper pals webbing or malice clips and if they are installed right, woven in each layer they do not move one bit, I run a BHI strike command chest rig and its a good piece of kit, I use it for LE applications and carbine training classes I teach.

MOLLE/PALs is the way of the future, I use MOLLE gear for 3 Gun matches, and field hikes. Very versatile and it is cool being able to build a vest that suits your needs.

I use MOLLE gear also, it's very secure, very customizable, and I trust it.

Ok, ok, I'm convinced! :) Sinistral, I saw a photo of your setup in another post. That's a sweet looking rig! Is that a US Tactical thigh plate, or a SO Tech? How do you like the FLC vest? I was thinking of going with the FLC or the US Tactical vest rather than the Blackhawk Omega modular. Now I just have to figure out what color! |

Ilike the FLC, my one complaint is lack of padded shoulder straps, but it also makes it easier to use a rucksack.  This is what my 3 Gun Rig rig consists of: Vest: Specialty Defense Systems Fighting Load Carrier Thigh Rigs: Safariland 6004 LH for Glock21 Tactical Tailor Modular Leg Pannel Both were attached to my vest with 3 Gun Gear custom made MOLLE drop leg adapters (so they wouldn't drag down my pants like if they are attached to your pants belt) Pouches on Vest: 2 Tactical Tailor tripple pistol pouches 2 Spec Ops Brand Double M16 pouches 2 Tactical Tailor Shot Shell pannels 1 Spec Ops Brand Quad M16 pouch (I used it for extra shot shells) Pouches on Thigh Pannel: 2 Tactical Tailor Single Pistol Pouches 2 SDS Single M16 pouches. |

Oops! Sorry, the vest was the Tactical Tailor modular vest. US Tactical Supply was the distributor, but the price is the same. I wonder if you could get some thin padding at a fabric store or someplace, and have a seamstress cover it with tactical nylon and sew it under your shoulder straps? Could be a fix--and if you used foam that wasn't too bulky, you could still throw a ruck over it. All that gear looks expensive though! |
