I just boxed back up the 4 mags I received from Midway. national mags...I tried one of the 10 round mags and it won't even cycle through my rifle...I am wondering if anyone here has tried the Promags they sell? I have been told they were a much better mag. When I ordered, I did not pay any attention to them and ordered the national mags. My Scout doesn't like the National's...

Any help greatly appreciated...

Spartacus2002 did a range report on the ProMag M14 magazines.  Bottom line, pass on these too.

CMI or USGI (yes i know CMI is now USGI, but you know what i mean)... pass on ALL OTHERS.  The only ONLY possible exception are Chicom and T-57 mags, but those are feast or famine for most people, and really seem to depend on the taste of the individual rifle.  I have heard of some rifles working fine with the asian mags, and some that would not work worth a crap.

Promag- junk
National- junk
"GI Spec"- junk
Bubba's no mark gun show special- RUN AWAY!!

There are some fake "T57" magazines in the market so it's confusing as to what is what with Taiwanese magazines.  Stick with USGI, CMI or mainland Chinese magazines.  The mainland Chinese magazines have not been imported since 1994.  Be leary of any commercial supplier with a boat load of "Chinese" M14 magazines.

This also shows how stupid Ebay people are. This clearly violates Ebays rules about High Cap magazines. The seller worded the auction cleverly and Ebay missed it

I do feel a little bad for the buyer, but, if you look at his other auctions this is not the first time he has been taken

Just took delivery of ten very good condition USGI M14 magazines from Cole Distributing for $310 plus reasonable shipping.  These are the real deal - you will not be disappointed.  These mags are not reflected on their website last time I looked - you have to call.  HTH
