It has been pointed out to me that we don't have a sticky thread for these ... so, now we do!

I'll start it out with a few of mine:

My beloved Colt M16A1 with its DOE upper:

Oly PAWS RR, now with a new owner:

Cased commercial Reising, ordered by the Pittsburgh PD the day after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, to defend the city's steel mills (also with a new owner):

Vector Uzi with LRM US9, paired with a Beretta 92 with LRM MAS:
This is Tony K, and I approved this message.

Machineguns (and SBRs) can also be effective tools for hunting/animal control & dealing with trespassers/thieves/poachers/drug smugglers/varmints of all kinds: Below is my truck gun which will be passed on to the next generation when I am done:

This Colt 723 carbine lower with 10.3" MK18 upper is a very effective, compact package that sees hard use. The 70GR. TSX based 5.56MM Optimized brown tip X135 load shown will expand out to approx. 300yds. when fired from this weapon.

Here are my heavies.

Well I guess not.  It seems that I can't find a way to do so on this board.  Wierd set up here!!!

Is the interior of the Reising case original? or was it restored? It is the best I've ever seen.

That is original. The felt lining on the lower left in the pic has pulled loose a bit, but otherwise there were no stains or rips in it anywhere. The case handle had started to disintegrate, so it requires care when moving it.

The deep prewar blue is original; I suspect the wood may have been lightly refinished at one point, though the "City of Pittsburgh" stamp was sharp and clean, so maybe not.

The quality of the case went a long way toward selling me on it -- then doing an FOIA and discovering that it was the only cased example in a large batch ordered the day after Pearl Harbor, to protect Pittsburgh's steel mills, was the icing on the cake. It must have been the chief's, or someone else high up in the department.
This is Tony K, and I approved this message.

Thanks! As I mentioned in the first post, I no longer own it.

I bought the Reising, Fed Ord case and three excellent H&R mags in about 2004 for $3.7k. I added the original pre-military-markings manual (very rare) that I already owned, plus three of the excellent I-can't-remember-what-his-name-is's 30-rounders, and got the last three NIB 20-round original mags from autoweapons.com for $150 each. Added both current and circa-1941 Pittsburgh PD shoulder patches off of eBay, and Frank I-can't-remember-his-last-name-either's wonderful Reising book. plus the FOIA letter.

It was a 97-98% firearm in every way.

A very, very, very good friend of mine, to whom I owned much, fell in love with it in 2006. He knew what I had in it, but he had to have it. He asked what I would take. In my mind I added up what I had in it, doubled it so he wouldn't buy it, and said, "$8,500." He pulled out his checkbook.

I really, really didn't want to sell it. But he really, really, really wanted it that much, and since I had named a price and he met it, I let it go.

He died a couple years later, but I know it was one of his most beloved possessions. Last I heard it was with a new owner in Md. I still miss it ... but if selling it to my buddy fulfilled a lifelong dream, I'm OK with that.

Unfired Reising Model 50 with original box and accessories. According to the serial number it was built in 1957, the last year Harrington & Richardson manufactured these. H&R still had some Reisings in inventory when they went bankrupt and I suspect this gun was part of the liquidation when H&R's assets were sold off.

The m10 was refinished in the OD green by tsc machine. The pictures don't do it justice.
