Looks like a cheap, general purpose blaster. I've also heard the muzzle blast is impressive. I've seen them in catalogs for $60 (very good condition). A local shop has them for $126. ![]() Any real difference in countries of origin (Romanian v. Hungarian, etc...)? |

I think the Polish ones are supposed to be the nicest, but I really don't think it's gonna make any difference. I got a Russion one that's pretty spiffy. They do indeed have a very nice muzzle blast, and the "thump" they make is equally as impressive. I always turn heads at the NRA range (indoor) when I let mine rip. As much fun as they are, though, $126 is kinda steep. Why not go ahead and get your C&R, and snag one for $50 as your first purchase? |

After looking through SGN and some catalogs I figured the $126 was overpriced. (There's a BFO- Blinding Flash of the Obvious). I've thought about a C&R, but don't think I'd actually use it a lot. Considering shipping and transfer fees if I order one, I'm thinking an offer of $100 out the door wouldn't be too unreasonable. After all, how far does a Benjie go these days anyway? |
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Trust me, once you start getting guns shipped right to your house, you'll use it. BTW, the discounts at Brownell's and Midway can pay for the C&R in one transaction. Example...the $249 Holosight at Midway is $219 dealer. With all the cool Mosin Nagants, Enfields, Schmidt Rubins, Mausers, CZ-52s, and other C&R stuff floating around, I can almost guarantee you'll use it. Especially when you can get a lot of these guns shipped to your house WITH AMMO for under $100. |
Fenian speaks the truth. I offer my wallet as evidence--note that it is perpetually empty. The M44s are a hell of alot of fun. Get the best one you can find, they would be a deal at twice the price. Alot of folks in Missouri are using them for deer rifles, they are short, light, easy to manage, reasonably accurate, very powerful, and that bigass 174 grain bullet shrugs off any underbrush it hits on its way to the target. P.S. Mine is a Romanian and is beautiful. Got it from Century Arms, direct, with my C&R years ago. It was around $65 shipped as I recall. |
