My son turned 18 and is away at college. He’s always wanted an m1 carbine. I acquired a Plainfield m1 with a paratrooper type stock that I would like to gift him for Christmas . I’m looking to swap it with a GI type stock. Doesn’t have to be original and I’m willing to do some finish/refinish work if necessary. Where is a good place to find a replacement GI type stock? I’m also looking for an original type sling/oiler as well as a magazine pouch for the stock. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! |

The surplus magazines are generally better. These are new production, made in US & to date I’ve had no issues: Link to 15-rd mags |
