357.... Is fun. 100% so far. I think with the factory rail that it is the best bang for the buck. Or atleast used to be. Just be warned that they are made by Rossi so give it a once over before you buy. Biggest issue with them is some seen to escape the factory with off center bores. Check the muzzle and make sure the bore is centered. And they probably missed the boat on the rifling. 357 is 1:30 where other rifles are 1:16. I think it's the same with the 44mag. And, as with Rossi, I doubt that citadel warranty is any better than Rossi. |

I think Rossi .44s have been 1:38 for a long time but their website is now showing .44 92s in 1:30 and the Marlin 95 copies in 1:12 which seems super quick. The 444 is 1:38 fwiw. https://rossiusa.com/firearms/rifles/lever-action/?product_orderby=date |
