I prefer to use it like a traditional handstop and use it to prevent my hand from moving towards the muzzle. I think some others use to to prevent their hand from moving closer to the receiver so they can use it to apply more pressure against their shoulder without having to have as tight of a grip around the forearm. I use it in a similar manner to the from most handstop:  |

I've run both the DCC mount and the GS mount, and I prefer the GS mount mainly on my battle rifle because that gun has a fantastic ability to shake anything loose. |

I smell an EPIC gun coming.....and I know that smell because its completely intoxicating
