| Hypothetically, will the soft kevlar panels of the Interceptor vest fit in another carrier, as in a CIRAS, Blackhawk, etc? |
Hypothetically, not likely. The Interceptor vest front panels are 2 pieces...the units in the other vests are one-piece. The issue you're going to have to over come is how to make the panels "stand up" within the other vest, even if you could get them to fit (different shapes). The Interceptor front and back panels attach via Velcro straps that pass through the shoulders of the carrier. This securely holds the front panels up, especially at the top. At the very least, you're likely to have to glue/sew velcro on the panels and the inside of the carrier to assist in keeping it standing up. Your best bet would be to get a TAG Spartan II rig, which is specifically designed to use the Interceptor armor panels. TimW Phoenix |

Don't forget, the Tactical Tailor cover uses the standard interceptor kevlar inserts. link to vest |

nope the soft armor will not work in a ciras.......I think the best carrier out right now for the interceptor armor is the T.A.G spartan II check it out here is a thread with pics lightfighter.net/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/440107306/m/9941071852?a=tpc&s=7336015661&m=9941071852&f=440107306&ORIGINAL_REFERRER_URL=http%3A%2F%2Flightfighter.net%2Feve%2Fforums%2Fa%2Ffrm%2Ff%2F440107306 |
That looks nice. Do you have any links to where it is sold? I found the TAG page ,but it had no products for sale. |
