Is this a decent price for this scope and any opinions?

I would rather have a Monarch even if I had to settle for less magnification.

SWFA is a good place to check prices.

Just today I compared a Buckmaster to a Monarch, looking through them in the store. There is a noticeable difference is brightness between them. The Monarch is clearly better.

I have a Nikon ProStaff that has the BDC reticle.

It works great for me. As long as I do my part estimating range to target, the BDC reticle makes it easy to hit.

Spent a day popping Prairie Dogs with it from 100 to 400 yds., and it works as advertised.

I have a Prostaff with the BDC as well on my .30-06. I'm very happy with the scope for the money.
