[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help checking on progress of Form 4

Forgive my ignorance as this is my first form 4 application.

I have read the FAQ but it seems a tad unclear as to exactly what to do in order to check the progress with the ATF on my form 4. Any guidance is appreciated.

Call 304-616-4500, tell them you want to check status of your Form4, they'll ask for your serial number, and usually your name. It's been taking about a month to go pending, and another month to get approved. Not much use calling before then right now.

Easy as that.

My check was cashed in less than a week. I hope that is a good sign.

Ignorance again, sorry, but does the form 4 come back to MY address or the address of the dealer? I just don't want to feel stupid watching the mail for something that will never arrive in my mailbox lol!

By pending does that start when they cash the check? My check was cashed almost a month ago.

I just called about my SBR.

sent-----------April 29
cashed---------May 29
penning------ June 30

She said they are very back logged, I thanked her and told her have a good 4th a July.

Maybe she will put in a good word?

Check cashed does not mean pending.
Its usually cashed in less than a week, been taking a month or so to go pending, and another to get approved. At least that's what I experienced and have been seeing in the timeline thread.
