Hi all, I have these handguards on my FAL and the other day when shooting 3 20rnd mags I couldn't touch them because they were so HOT. They are very thin plastic with no heat shield. I am wondering how the Belgian type handguards that come on the factory DSA's hold up to the heat. I know I can get the quad rail and mount a VG but I want to keep this rifle KISS. Thanks guy.

For me the DSA factory handguards on my 16" SA58's get uncomfy around the 200 round mark of rapid fire, depending on ambient temp of course. Well worth the $50 it costs to replace yours IMHO.
