I am opening a small reloading/gun shop in June. Is this bad timing with economy and uncertainty with 2012 election? I am interested in the views of the experienced ffls. Is there a bad time?

If people start panicking like they did in 2008 before and after the election, then I would say its good timing.

The number of new FFL applicants most likely coincides with the panic buying. As more people buy guns, the more people will apply to be an FFL. It's a wash in my opinion.

If the panic is like the last time, you might have a bunch of customers with money but you can't get anything from the distributors.
