Recently picked up a new GSG-5 and was taking it apart to double check all the screws were tight. In the front of the receiver, I've always seen three screws in the online photos. Mine has four. Is this common? It has a cast recess for the screw so I assume this is just an update and the photos I previously looked at were older gsg5 models. Screw goes into the front sight/cocking tube portion but not all the way to the other side of the receiver. Just wondering if this was normal.

Mine is 3 only so I am curious as to why this was changed I think this is probably a better way to go than just the three that mine has. I am wanting to learn the reason as well

The forth screw acts like a set screw pinching the cocking
Housing for extra stability. I was curious about mine also

Does the top right screw not go as deep as the other three? Mine looks to be sticking out a little, and I can't tighten it down anymore.

Same here, the screw is too long for the hole so it bottoms out before fully threading in. They must have torque mine too much from the factory because when I backed mine out, I found the screw was already broke off inside the front sight base. Its also odd that the receiver is threaded and not a thru hole. Not very well thought out.
