Found a new 522 SD. And a 2 pack of 22 round mags, a 110 drum, upgraded to a G&G mount and a Sightmark inexpensive dot. Something new to play with when not getting ready for 3gun. Looks like a lot of fun. |
| I have the drum, mags and dot in hand. Waiting on Tombstone Tactical to ship. They told me they had it in another warehouse which means the distributer they use had it. Im calling them back tomorrow to put a bug up their ass as to what is up. The mount is coming from accross the pond I think. |
| i picked up one a couple of weekends ago and have run about 300 rds through it with 4 stoppages. 1 FTF(bad rd) 2 FTE(it extracted the case but it got caught between the bolt and barrel on both) and one weird feeding problem but i think that was from a deformed bullet. its a blast to shoot. strip it down and clean/oil it(think thats why i had issues) and take the tool with you to adjust the sight. mine fired about 3" to the left, right out of the box. |

I noticed a few FTE on mine. not like it wasn't trying, just that the casing wasn't clearing before the bolt came forward again. Its rare and I was shooting cheap ammo. I'm chalking it up to cheap ammo and new gun. The springs are really stiff. I was surprised how hard it was to manually operate the bolt on this thing. I'm sure with a little break in it'll be fine tho. Mike |

Well after waiting a week for it to ship cross country it arrived at my ffl. Sad to say in shipping the charging handle had snapped off. Only external sign was the small hole on the bottom of the box where it hit something and snapped it off. After talking to the folks who sold it I decided to accept it and ATI is sending me a replacement. After disassembly I find good and not so good. Parts of it seem well made for a gun this price range and some not. First is the hand gaurd. At the end of it the rubber is not tight on the cap and has a gap. I can sqeeze it to be tight on the cap. So I used some superglue and put the cap in it. Held it to dry overnight with a tywrap. Feed ramps look rough but I will wait and see how it runs when I get the new charging handle. Looks like its going to be fun to play with.
Someone mentioned something about drilling holes in the barrel under the faux can and the BATF. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/kent1960/28A6ED40-1696-45D3-B317-805F3F824FA9-5246-00001A45EABD2FE2.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/kent1960/05ECCA3B-E1BC-4B48-A570-0FE92A29B1DA-5246-00001A45D9D96FEB.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/kent1960/5AC3F55C-F092-42DE-8DE3-190096BFB764-5246-00001A45E2373B43.jpg |
