| Just wondering if anyone happened to take pictures of the foam mod done to the stock. I understand completely how its done, I just think pictures would make all the difference, because I'm a little hesitant to screw it up... Is there already a hole in the end of the stock for this? Does the butt pad come off easy? Should be getting mine next week, I hope!!! |
I just did it but a little different and didn't take pics either I have been doing a lot of work to my house (just did an addition) had a partial can leftover so I tried it using some old BB's I had around and of course the can went empty too soon instead of getting more later I have some extra white painters caulk so I took and put that in there and I feel that that will be even better than the foam and not near as messy it will just have a longer cure time for the caulk to dry no need for pennies ect... it weighs enough itsself also you wont have to worry about a penny or whatever you use for weight coming loose and getting into your receiver and causing a problem. Yes the buttplate comes off verry easy you take and slide it up or down (can't remember which) about a inch or so and pull it back and off.Let it set the last 45 min. and went to check on it and had foam coming out between the butstock and recoil pad just a little but man it is sticky stuff I wish I would have just used the caulk. |
