| Had a chance to test some of my reloads fired through my 16" RRA 1-9 twist AR. Load used was 55 gr hornady fmj, 23 grs of IMR 4895, CCI primers and various .223/5.56 brass I've been collecting over the last few months. This was the first time I have ever loaded my own and I was very nervous about pulling the trigger, all rounds fired (20) fine with no signs of over pressure or anything abnormal. I did not try this load for accuracy, just a function test hopefully over the next few days I can load the rest of the 500 pieces I have. I know CSB. just thought I'd share |

NIce to hear that all went well. I too have just started cutting teeth on reloading. I started reloading .223 using LC brass, Hodgedon H335 powder, using CCI # 450 magnum primers and Nosler CC 77
gr HPBT projectiles. So far I'm liking the results. Currently using 23.7 gr handload. My 1/7 twist 14.5 DD Government profile barrel frankengun AR shoots it pretty straight. This reloading is just as addicting as shooting. Be safe! |
